PRIVACY POLICY — PLAYPULSE
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the developer of PlayPulse ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the PlayPulse mobile application ("App"), available on Google Play.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. SUMMARY
PlayPulse is a privacy-first companion for Google Play developers. The App connects directly from your device to Google services to read Play Console data you are authorized to access. We do not operate our own backend to store your Play Console analytics, installs, ratings, crash metrics, or store performance reports.
We do not sell, rent, license, or trade Google user data or Play Console data. We do not use Google user data to train AI or machine-learning models.
The App stores some settings and cached report data locally on your device. The App uses Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication for account sign-in, and may show optional rewarded advertisements through Google AdMob.
2. INFORMATION WE STORE ON YOUR DEVICE
PlayPulse stores the following information locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This data is not stored on our own servers:
- Cached list of Play Console apps returned for your signed-in account
- Selected app package name
- Cached report data for connected apps, including installs, ratings, crash data, ANR data, and store performance snapshots
- Linked Play reports bucket name used for install report setup
- Theme preference
- Basic local session data such as open count / onboarding state
You can remove this local data by signing out of the App, clearing the App's storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the App.
3. GOOGLE SIGN-IN, FIREBASE AUTHENTICATION, AND PLAY CONSOLE ACCESS
To connect your developer account, the App uses Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication. When you sign in, Google and Firebase may process information such as your account identifier, email address, profile name, and profile photo for authentication purposes only.
The App requests the following Google OAuth scopes, and only these scopes:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/androidpublisher — read your Play Console app list, ratings, and related publishing metadata shown in the App
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/playdeveloperreporting — read crash, ANR, vitals, and store performance metrics shown in the App
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/devstorage.read_only — read Play Console export files from the Google Cloud Storage bucket you link in the App for optional install reports
Your Play Console data is requested directly from Google APIs on your device. We do not copy that analytics data to our own servers.
4. GOOGLE USER DATA — SHARING, TRANSFER, AND DISCLOSURE
We do not sell Google user data or Play Console data to anyone.
We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data or Play Console metrics to third parties except in these limited cases:
- Google LLC — when you use the App, your device sends API requests directly to Google services using your authorized OAuth token. Google processes this data under Google's terms and policies.
- Firebase / Google Authentication — used only to sign you in and maintain your session (account identifier, email, display name, profile photo). We do not send Play Console analytics to Firebase.
- Legal compliance — if required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.
Play Console data accessed through the App is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, analytics resellers, or other third parties.
Optional Google AdMob rewarded ads (when enabled) use Google's ad services for ad delivery only. AdMob does not receive your Play Console stats, install reports, ratings, crash data, or other Play Developer analytics from us.
5. DATA PROTECTION
We protect data handled by the App using these measures:
- Transport security — all communication with Google APIs uses HTTPS (TLS).
- On-device storage — cached reports and preferences stay in the App's private Android storage sandbox, accessible only to the App on your device.
- No developer backend — we do not operate a server that stores your Play Console metrics or OAuth tokens.
- OAuth tokens — handled by the Google Sign-In SDK on your device; we do not log, publish, or transmit access tokens to our servers.
- Access control — only your signed-in Google account can request data your Play Console permissions allow.
- User control — you can sign out, clear app storage, or uninstall to remove local cached data.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES — GOOGLE ADMOB
PlayPulse may show optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob, such as support ads tied to App features. AdMob is separate from Play Console data access.
Google AdMob may collect and process information such as:
- Device identifiers (for example, Advertising ID)
- IP address
- Ad interaction data
- Diagnostic and performance data related to ad delivery
This ad-related collection is governed by Google's policies and is not a sale of Google user data or Play Console data by PlayPulse. For more information:

- How Google uses data from partner sites and apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
You can limit ad personalization on Android in Settings → Google → Ads.
7. DEVICE PERMISSIONS AND ACCESS
Depending on your Android version and build configuration, the App manifest may include permissions such as:
- Internet: Required to sign in with Google and request Play Console / Google Cloud data
- Vibrate: Used for standard system feedback where supported
- Legacy external storage permissions on older Android versions: Present for framework compatibility; PlayPulse is not designed to collect your personal files for upload to our servers
The App is not designed to collect your contacts, microphone input, camera data, or precise location.
8. WHAT WE DO NOT STORE ON OUR SERVERS
We do not operate our own analytics backend for your Play app metrics. We do not intentionally store the following on our servers:
- Your installs, ratings, crash stats, ANR stats, or store performance reports
- Your linked Play reports bucket contents
- Your selected app history beyond local on-device storage
- Your Google OAuth access tokens
If you contact us directly by email, we may receive the information you choose to share in that message.
9. DATA RETENTION
Local cached data remains on your device until you sign out, clear app storage, or uninstall the App. Google, Firebase, and AdMob may retain data according to their own policies.
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is intended for developers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
